Ever had a linisher belt slipping on the drive wheel?? Rubber driving wheels don’t usually have this problem, but for those of us with the old shiny metal wheels, here is a cure for slipping belts. First, clean and degrease the wheel. Mix up some epoxy glue (Araldite or similar) and paint it on to the wheel with an old brush. Sprinkle silicon carbide powder (80# - 120#) on to the glue while it is still sticky, and allow the glue to harden. Needs to be redone every year or so, but slipping belts will be a thing of the past!
