I am not a glass artist - is AUSGLASS for me?

Ausglass is in inclusive organisation and has members from all aspects of glass including collectors, galleries, students and artists. One of the main reasons for people to join Ausglass is to join with like minded people who share a passion for glass art.

I am not receiving members at emails - how can I fix this?

It is possible that your SPAM filter has been set too high – check this first. Other possibilities is that your membership has lapsed. Contact the Treasurer ("treasurer" followed by "@ausglass.org.au") to get the status of your membership.

What are members at emails?

What is Members@Ausglass?
Ausglass maintains a mailing list service, which it uses to deliver services to its members and which members can use to promote activities or information that may be useful to other members. It is an important part of the communication between members and Ausglass. This mailing list is called Members@Ausglass.

All Ausglass members are automatically included in the email list from Ausglass' membership records at regular intervals. Please advise Ausglass of your email address if you have not done so, currently by sending an email to the Treasurer ("treasurer" followed by "@ausglass.org.au").You can also advise that you want to opt out, but then you will stop receiving Ausglass services such as the Newsletter and other Bulletins. We'd like to have all our members receiving these services.

Receiving messages
You should start receiving messages after you join Ausglass, depending on when the next upload takes place. Messages you receive from Members@Ausglass will start [Ausglass] in the subject line. If you want you can use this fact to develop a rule to automatically put them into a mailbox, but in any case you can recognize them instantly.

Posting a message
To post a new message to the mailing list, send an email to the list ("members" followed by "@ausglass.org.au") from your Ausglass-registered email address. Members@Ausglass will accept attachments, but is set to accept only pdf files and images of jpg, png and gif types. Other attachments will be stripped off to minimize risk of viruses. Remember that the email goes to all members, so please be responsible in not posting things of interest only to a few. The total size of the message is normally limited to 2MB, so check that your attachment is not too large.

An attempted post will fail if you send from an email address other than the one registered with Ausglass. Non-members cannot post since their email addresses are also invalid. If you change your registered email address, send an email to the Treasurer (see above). Please advise of the old and new addresses.

If you reply to a posting, the reply will go to the sender, not the list. If you really want your reply to go to the whole list, you must enter the list address in the To: or Cc: fields

Spam filters
If you have any trouble with Ausglass messages being classified as spam, set the domain "ausglass.org.au" as a trusted domain in your email program.
