How to Exhibit in the Ausglass Online Gallery

Glass Artists are entitled to exhibit in the Ausglass Online Gallery.  We want everyone to be represented, yes you too.  Here's what you have to do:
  1. Pay your annual Online Gallery establishment and maintenance fee of $250 to Ausglass at PO Box 4018, McKinnon, Victoria, 3204, Australia.  Ausglass Members should note that, as part of your Ausglass members' entitlements, the need to pay the establishment and maintenance fee is waived provided full membership of Ausglass is maintained.
  2. Each glass artist can have two photos of work exhibited in the gallery.  So get to work with your digital camera or ask a friend to help you.  We limit the pictures to a maximum of 400 pixels on the longest side, so if you can resize the pictures so they look good to you that will be appreciated.  Otherwise we'll do it.
  3. Then write a brief caption (30 words or less) for each picture.  Finally, choose an abbreviation of your name that is likely to be unique (for example annasmith, no spaces allowed) and rename the two photos annasmith1 and annasmith2 (using the example name).
  4. The next step is to write yourself a curriculum vitae (CV) if you want one in the Gallery.  Please note it is required for entrants for the Vicki Torr Online Gallery Prize for Emerging Artists.  The CV should print on a single A4 page, and should have a font size of at least 10 points.  You can prepare it using any software you like, and include what you like in the form of layout, text and graphics, provided it fits on an A4 page and you submit it to us either as a .PDF file (we prefer this) or a .doc file (Microsoft Word).  Name the file annasmith.pdf or annasmith.doc (using the name you chose in step 2).
  5. Now select the text at the bottom of this page and Copy it.  Click on the link onlinegallery@ausglass.org.au, which should bring up a new email page on your computer.  Paste the text you just copied into the body of the email.  Attach the two picture files and the CV (if you want to provide one).
  6. Now you are ready to provide the details.  Alongside each line in the email, type the relevant information, or leave blank if not relevant or you don't want it displayed.
  7. Check what you have typed.  Check that you have attached the two jpg images and the CV (if you are sending one).
  8. Click Send.

Now wait until the gallery manager processes your email into the database.  Give us a week in case we're busy.  Then your work contributes to providing the world a snapshot of what is going on in glass in Australia, and you have a free page to yourself in the
Ausglass Online Gallery.  Remember, the Online Gallery is not just for the top-rated artists, but for all glass artists and especially emerging glass artists.

Photos included in the
Ausglass Online Gallery are randomly displayed on the Ausglass Homepage each time it is opened so, once you have placed your photos in the Ausglass Online Gallery these images will also appear on the homepage.

Please enjoy the facility.
