Display
Display requirements must be fully resolved by the artist. Works must have the appropriate hanging devices, attachments, display instructions where necessary and proper operating instructions if electrical systems are provided. The exhibition team will decide on the final placement of work. Works arriving after the stated delivery time or deemed unsafe to the public will not be shown. Ausglass reserves the right to withdraw or withhold works from the exhibition if they cause public offence.
If you have questions regarding the hanging of wall pieces etc, it is best to communicate directly with the gallery directors Ben Booth and Philip Watkins whose contact details are given at the end of this document. They are available only during the second half of the week so don't leave urgent enquiries for a Monday or Tuesday.

Insurance
Artists should ensure that their works are adequately insured during transportation to and from the exhibition. While in the Carnegie Gallery, the work is insured by the Hobart City Council. Ausglass excludes liability for loss, theft or damage to artwork in the organisers' care and control.
Transport of Works to and from the Exhibition Venue
Work is required to arrive at the gallery on the dates stated below:
Carnegie Gallery, 16 Argyle St, Hobart 7000
Dates: Thursday & Friday 11 & 12 December, 2008 between
10:00 am and 5:00 pm
Return freight arrangements and insurance for unsold work must be made in advance. A courier voucher or freight company contact details with account number and a return address label should be included unless the item is to be donated to the Auction or picked up personally. Please exercise due care in the packing of Works so as to minimise loss or damage in transit. Ausglass agrees to notify the Artist of damaged goods within 24 hours of delivery.
The Exhibition closes on 18 January 2009, and works will be consigned back to you shortly thereafter. In circumstances where Works are returned to the Artist, both parties agree that the Carnegie Gallery will pack the Works for return by the Artist's freight carrier. Alternatively if you are coming down for the conference, you can pick your work up in person on Monday 19 January between 10 am and 5 pm. If you plan to do this, let the gallery directors know in advance (a note attached to your piece will do) so they can keep your packaging on top and start packing your work on Monday. If you need it first thing on Monday you may have to help them pack it.
IMPORTANT NOTES RE DELIVERY
Access to the Carnegie Gallery is by internal stairs. If your work is very large or heavy, notify your courier that two persons may be needed to carry it up to the gallery.
PLEASE LABEL YOUR PACKAGING CLEARLY WITH YOUR NAME & RETURN ADDRESS SO THAT IT CAN BE RE-USED FOR THE RETURN OF YOUR WORKS.
Installation and display of Works
The Carnegie Gallery will be responsible for unpacking, installation and display of the Works and will ensure that these activities are carried out with due care and diligence, and in accordance with the Artist's reasonable instructions, to the extent that this is practicable.
