The 2008 Conference is over. You should be planning to come to Hobart for the next conference in January 2009.

The following snapshots will bring back memories from those who attended the Canberra Conference, and give those who didn't an idea of what went on. However, bear in mind that they are personal pics, reduced to 640x480 pixels so they are easily downloadable, and restricted to those things that the photographer saw and did as a registered delegate.

Program

Open House

Dates
Thursday evening 24 January 2008 to Sunday 27 January 2008.

Theme
The rationale behind the theme Open House is on one level the most basic reading of the words - a place where everyone is welcome. More specifically, it represents a particular aspect of the Australian Glass Community. The idea of an Open House builds on the sense of family and community existing within the glass fraternity and underlines the aims of Ausglass and the Canberra Glassworks (CGW) venue. It also reflects the opening of the Canberra Glassworks as a venue for all Australian glass artists to use - it is their venue.

Conference Venue
The 2008 Ausglass Conference was held in the national capital of Australia, Canberra. Demonstrations took place at the Canberra Glassworks; the Lecture program was held at the National Gallery of Australia and the ANU School of Art.
